In Alsace, there are numerous feasts and events throughout the year (Saint Nicolas, Christmas, carnival, fairs, etc…). At each feast, the Alsatians – as they are real gourmets – prepare typical culinary delicacies (narreklepfer, männele, sckenkelees…). Those dishes may be hard to pronounce, but their taste is delicious – I invite you to discover them during a walk through the city centre of Sélestat.
I will take you to the Maison du Pain, to see the famous bredele (Chritsmas biscuits) in front of antique ovens, of in the jardin du dahlia (dahlia garden), a quiet place for all the lovers of good food.
